Made in the USA, Bork of Pendleton made wonderful long lasting beautiful cinches.
The quality of the mohair, the workmanship of making the cinch, and the amazing final product is what you see here. Even though this cinch is easily 40 years old, but still looks like the day it was made, except for the bit of dirt from use.
Herb Bork's cinches became so popular that his problem became where to find the buckles. He developed his own cast buckles and eventually moved to sand casting. Eventually, Herb loved the buckle making as much or more than the cinches and sold the cinch business to focus on the hardware in 1982. His sons continue to make a few cinches under their company, Bork and Sons.
